Boker Clip question

Can some one explain to me what is the deal with Boker Clip "move in; move out"?? I click on the video, still don't get it. The action from quick time movie seems very slow and not so smooth.

As they put this knife on the front of the site, it must have a reason.

What kind of lock tech is on there:confused:

I just looked at the video and I agree it looks a non-smooth. It may just be from them trying to show it in steps, but it makes me wonder.

My concern was the stand-off under the front of the clip. It looks like it would be hard to clip on a pocket. I have been hoping to see one at a show, but so far no luck. If I see one and it works well, both opening and clipping, I am 100% sure I am going to buy one. I recently bought a Superliner, and Boker sure makes a good 440c blade. It's thin and sharp as heck. It cuts so well I am overlooking the tragedy with the Walker model I have (the spots where the bolster was welded to the liner broke), which was previously a reason why I swore off expensive Bokers for a while.
 
Well, my boss had to go to a trade show, and was very busy, so I will answer the best I can.

I agree that the vid clip does not show it being very smooth. And when you first get it, you have to practice to make it smooth. I believe there are two reasons for this; first, it is a lock back, and when you have the lock back with the lever inside to move the clip, it is not as smooth as opening a liner.
Second, if your fingers are on the clip, and pushing on it, it adds a lot of tension to it. That's where the practice comes in. You have to get used to keeping your fingers off the clip while opening.
I have had no problem with the clip fitting into a pocket, it works like it should in that regard, and is very secure in the pocket.
