Well I got a Boker catalog and noticed quite a few design similarities... I do understand there are only so many possible designs and styles, but I haven't noticed as many similarities with other companies.

To name a few.

...They don't look that similar to me, there are many more designs out there that are virtual clones...

Frank.

Personally the Spyderco to me is as in your face as you can get. Exact same serration, handle design, and blade style.

Here's another one, sodbusters, that you can add to the list:

We may think of sodbusters as being a Case product, but so far I have found sodbusters also made/offered by Boker, Kissing Crane, German Bull, Moore Maker, Fight'N Rooster, Stanley, Eye Brand, Aitor, Gebr. Berns, Rough Rider and Queen. No variation in design, they are all copies of each other...with the exception of liner locks or spring locks, and handle material. Some of these are made in Germany, Italy, Argentina and China, besides USA. Some of them are crap.

It's a stainless handled lockback. Maybe Spyderco did it first, but it's pretty far from a clone. The boker has a scalloped oval hole, choil, lanyard hole, different swedge, and is a full inch shorter in the blade than the Police. That serration style has been done by pretty much every knife company at some point, I don't think that's really grounds for accusations of thieving.

There are some of the import Bokers that are remarkably similar to other designs, there's a knife they put out that's almost identical to the rainbow leek.

A lot of knives will end up looking like each other simply because it's a good design. Call it convergent evolution of knives. Some designs are pretty obvious copies, but I don't think any of the ones you posted are.

There's nothing new under the sun- just lots of nice knives- enjoy them!

That Cold Steel design has been around forever. In fact Lynn Thompson used to talk about how weak and useless it was. Then he decided to improve it and offer it in the form of the titanium handled model. Then the zytel handled version. Seems it wasn't such a bad design in his eyes once he went with it.

Quit your whining vanc99 these are not stolen designs. Man this place if full of people always screaming someone is copying someone else.

The supposed copy of the Blur handle is a design Boker has been using since way before the Blur came out -- and it really isn't all that similar.

The stiletto is a classic design you will see even in very old knives.

I can't see much resemblance on the Police, either. Both handle AND blade are different.

Yeah, got give the handle one, but the blade is totally different than Striders tanto style.

yup, they definitely aren't copies. Actually, the spyderco is the one that looks least like a copy to me.

They aren't even close...just someone tryin to start another flame war....
This time Boker instead of the usual CS flamers...

not close enough in my book...unless you sonsider they all have both a handle and a blade...lol, seriously, I cna see what your saying, but they are not close enough to me to consider them copies at all...
