Boker Exskelibur 1... why is this not more popular?

The 1 is far easier to open that's the 2 in my opinion. I sometimes have difficulty opening the 2.

There is a place about 1/2 mile from me that sells some really delicious custom burgers. Beef and sausage combined. Mmmm Mmmm good. Thanks for reminding me. :D

As for the knife, I'll pass. Too small for my tastes.

Ron's? I love Ron's...on a bed of fries with fried jalapeños and everything covered in Chili.
As for the knife...I love the bog oak handles.

The lip mechanism doesn't protrude as far on the Exskelibur II,how does that affect
the ability of the blade to be opened? Basically, I'm wondering how minimal is the
pressure required to open it, is it to the point of imprinting the jimping on my thumb?

the jimping is sharp and does take a little getting used to. I'm pretty sure the Exskelibur 1 is a lot easier to open via the lip as the 2. The 2 has a nail nick and little protrusion from the blade. Honestly though the 1 is the way to go IMHO. its not too big, it fits the hand great and the blade is basically the same size as a para 2.

How is the Boker Plus 440c? Is it real 440c or one of the Chinese copies like 8cr13mov? 440c with a decent HT is a good steel and very underrated.

It seems like a very well heat treated 440c IMO. it holds screaming sharp edge for a long time and strops back to hair whittling in no time. I prefer it over my s35vn.
