Hi all! I'm new to this forum only because I just now found it.

I'm in the market for a new pocket folder that is a smooth 1 handed open and close type to replace my current Browning model. The knife will be used for everyday use. After a several hour long Internet search the Boker Gemini appears to meet my need criteria's of being a light weight (3.2 oz), Belt clip that's more than just screwed into plastic ( since the browning's clip stripped out within a couple weeks of owning it), combo edge ( for cutting lots of differant materials from tape, cardboard to stripping wire etc).
My concern is since I'm unable to get a hands on look at one of these (no local dealer) I'm respectfully asking anyone here who's seen or owns one for their opinion as to the quality of the Gemini.
Thanks for any input in advance.

Hello 3 Fingers. I owned a Boker Gemini with a solid black handle which I gave away to a co-worker. The handle is very ergonomic and the clip is positioned on the pivot end. My model was very sharp when new, but the blade is made of 420 stainless (not too cool). I understand Boker has new models with X-15 steel and in different colour handles. All in all, they are good basic knives, although a bit pricey for 420 stainless.

I handled a few and didn't like them - the liner lock is quite thin and the balance was too blade heavy for my preference.

In the end I just picked up a Spyderco Endura - so much better IMHO.
