Boker Haddock, your opinion?

Again, had this knife been a full titanium framelock folder ( both handles from ti ), or a linerlock with thick ti liners, I would have jumped on it like stink on dookey! I really like the blade shape on the knife, and the stonewashed blade finishis also nice. Just wishing........

The one I had was cabbage. Completely asymmetrical grinds and bad lockup. I didn't need to find any more faults with it before I knew it had to go. Don't let the nail nick fool you The Haddock is a one hand opening knife and actually opens very smoothly one handed. How one can compare the Boker Haddock to a Benchmade Monochrome makes my head hurt. They have nothing in common other than the locking mechanism.

This thread is 9 months old...

The knife is still relevant though and it never hurts to bump an old thread from Gen. Discussion if it helps other people. It's when guys bump 9 month old For Sale threads where the knife has already been sold that doesn't quite make sense.

Just wanted to add that I recently inspected the Haddock's smaller brother Cox, which is a slipjoint. I liked it quite a lot, it is funky, sturdy, different and actually felt more convincing than the Haddock. A pity that, like many German-made Bökers, it is not exactly cheap.

"Its the Haddock im interested in hering about." ... did y'a mean herring about? :D Sorry, couldn't resist - otherwise I think nice knife, though I've no experience with it.
