whats the verdict on the Boker HK14? i just bought one and i haven't got it yet. anything i should know in regards to how to treat it. any tricks or anything. i'm just looking for more info on the knife thanks,.
I am very pleased with the XT-15-n blade. Good edgeretention rustproof and i can get it very sharp.
There are some things i don't like or could use some improvement imho.
I don't like the clip . It makes the knive uncomfortable in hand to my liking so i took it of.
The knive is slightly handle heavy. I would have liked it to be a little more balanced. I also would have liked a bit sturdier and thicker liner lock.
But overall its a fine knive and well made. I have not encountered lockfailure with it.
Your knive is a newer model so i don't know if the clip is the same as i could not see it in the 2007 catologue. I also am not sure if the linerlock is the same.
:jerkit:
For touch up i would recommand a spyderco 204 set. Also good to keep your kitchenknives sharp
The steel XT-15-N is comparable to H1 in rust resistence. I only give the knive a soap and water wash once in a while and use compressed air to blow out the inside. Sometimes if there is glue or something on the blade i clean it with WD40 or Windex like stuff.
I'm sorry i missed the backlock. At a second glance i saw it.
Probably better as my linerlock . Allthough mine just functions fine. I'm curious if they improved the clip on your one. When i purchased mine a couple of years back your model wasn't out yet.
If you have the possibility to post a picture when it arrives i would like that? Also for the other forumites.
I think the blade won't disappoint you.
I think these new one's have a deeper finger recoil. How is the clip? Same as mine?
I like that luminova thumbstud. According to my findings the handles are made of glassfibre reinforced polyamid.
