Boker Kressler Subhilt 02BO190

Bld,
No I am not, especially in this case...
Terry

I understand. :( Great product if Boker can ever figure out a way to get it built and delivered.

Perhaps it's because they know they can get away with it. After all, wouldn't you buy a Kressler Subhilt if it arrived in February of 2012 instead of February of 2011? I know I would. At this point, I just hope they build it at all.

^^^ About time you showed up to keep the pressure on. I was beginning to worry you had actually given up hope of ever getting the Kressler:(;):)

There's really not much pressure I can put on Boker. They're either going to manufacture the Kressler Subhilt or they're not. If they do, I'll buy it. If they don't, c'est la vie!

reminds me of the CS Black Bear, which reminds me of another custom knife.
This one, perhaps?

i would buy one. The Boker looks good!
So would I. Boker does a good job with their 440C, the integral prototype looks to be well constructed, and the design is a classic. Everyone who has seen it loves it. But I have no idea what it's going to take for Boker to actually produce it. And from what I gather, neither does Terry. :(

Boker is still advertising availability in February 2011. Whether they actually deliver it by then, push the delivery date out yet again or simply let the design languish into oblivion remains to be seen.

Oh, i know that.:D It's just that you keep this post alive and in front! I'm sure this is going to be a rather difficult knife to machine, and more importantly, to do it correctly. It may be that the cost will rise before it comes to market.

Probably one of my all-time fave patterns. I've held Kressler customs (amazing) and if Boker does the work they're capable of- this will be a winner.

I agree, Rugger. That's why I keep putting the pressure on. Turns out I'll be able to attend the SHOT Show this year. Boker will be there, of course. My hope is that they'll have the Kressler Subhilt at the show. If they do, I'll be sure to check it out.

I'm in Las Vegas right now attending the SHOT Show. My first stop was Boker USA. I went there first for the specific purpose of taking a look at the Kressler Subhilt. Fortunately, Boker had the prototype on display and I was able to inspect it up-close and personal. Believe me when I tell you that this knife has been worth waiting for. Fit, finish, geometry and balance are all excellent. I can't wait for it to finally go into production. FYI, the reps I spoke to are still clinging to a February release date. They also told me that there's quite a bit of pent-up demand in the market for it. After having held the Kressler Subhilt in my hand, that revelation doesn't surprise me at all.

Good Morning, Terry. Is it February yet?

Yes it is, and they are shipping. They actually started shipping on Monday. I don't know who is getting them but here they come.:D

Yes and No.

I have to budget my purchases. I had budgeted for one of these last autumn, but when it fell through I bought something else. Now I just dropped a grand on a custom from a knifemaker I really like, and so this Boker is not in my immediate future. With Blade only four months away now, not sure if I will be buying anything else between now and then. So at this point I might not be back in the market for this knife until this fall.

And to tell you the truth, with all the :jerkit: from Boker, I'm not as enthused about this knife as I was originally.

But that's just me.

I understand completely, Virginian. I have the advantage of having held a Boker Kressler Subhilt in my hand at the SHOT Show. That experience has whet my appetite for it even further. But there's very little I can do about that. The 02BO190 is still conspicuously absent from dealer inventories. :(
