Boker model 2525 GRC info

At a recent gun show I bought a Boker model 2525 GRC Appaloosa bone Trapper. Very beautiful knife, top quality.

May I ask the meaning of the suffix GRC ? Thank you.

A GRC is different from an Apalossa Bone. GRC stands for Grand Canyon bone and any Apaloosa is labeled AB.
They are very similar, but the jigging on the GRC is deeper, and the colors are more earthy.

Thank you all for setting me straight on Boker 2525 GRC nomenclature. Somehow I wondered off researching this knife and the other 2525 AP series which led to the Appaloosa distraction. Yes, the jigging is richer and deeper! This is a gorgeous knife and I appreciate your input.
