What can I say. I clicked on the OR by email: link to your kristopherloomis hotmail account in the BF email you sent me. My reply included those two photos and was sent within two hours of receiving your inquiry. It didn't bounce back, so the account must be active. I therefor assumed you received it. Perhaps it wound up in your spam folder or you don't check that account very often?I have never received an email from you. To me the patterns do not look that different. Boker's info cards have been wrong before. Regardless, the knife is the same model. It looks like Rob's Typhoon pattern is on yours, it is definitely not a raindrop pattern. Like I said, Devin never sold damascus to Boker. Rob and Devin are brothers, but they do not do business together, seperate companies. I am just trying to get the right person the credit.
Again, the only thing I've actually seen regarding the steel's provenance is the pamphlet that came with my knife. I'm not saying you're wrong but, no offense meant, I'd have to hear it from Boker, Rob Thomas, or Devin Thomas before I'd assume you're right, given that your knife, while the same basic model as LeTerrible's and mine, is a different version of that model. Not that it really matters to me, since there's no reference on my website to who made the damascus and I don't plan on ever selling the knife. I will say that the damascus pattern on my Boker looks closer to Devin Thomas's bubblewrap than his raindrop stainless damascus on my A. T. Barr One-Eyed Jack, but I've always attributed that to their different grinds.
