They did a great job with the production model. Made some pics on saturday. Flips nice too, blade is dead centered.

does anyone know if the production version will be riding on bearings or washers?

No IKBS logo so I'm 99% sure it is washers. Plus, the use of steel for the liners/bolsters makes me think they were trying to keep the price down and stuck with washers.

It's washers, yes. Bronze on the lock side and an oversized nylon one the other.

The custom version of this knife is my grail knife. I was happy to see there was a production version of this knife, but I think a design this perfect deserves better materials. I may pick one up, but I'm worried about it ruining my expectations. :-(

Very cool and eye-catching design. I also like the combination of satin and stonewashed finishes on the production knife blade.

I just placed my order for one through Blade HQ.

I dig it! Nice design, nice lines. Looks stout but elegant.

It looks to me a lot like the Kershaw Tremor. That's not a bad thing!

I was thinking it looked a lot like a Volt or other RJ Martin Design.

Yessir. That too. I think it may just be the blade grind and the slightly canted handle that looks so similar? I'll probably pick one of these up. I like the Persian blade shape a lot.
