Because you can only compare statistics between known entities. Unless you can provide the specifics of the "other" steels you have no idea as to their properties. The only identified steels are the 440C and VG1.
Saying that VG1 is the only steel going on in a laminated steel is like saying the Fallkniven laminates are simply VG10
And your point is? At no place did I make such a statement.
Comparing the properties of unknown compositions is like making a judgement based strictly on MSRP when you already know that MSRP does not show the true value.
