I have been wanting a small neck knife to wear while traveling when it is difficult to get to my pockets. I have mostly quit wearing knives with a pocket clip have almost lost two due to the knife working it's way up and out of my pocket. I finally settled on the Boker Toucan with it's small blade and a few tools including bottle opener and pry. It is a short knife, fairly thick stock and the bevel was quite steep and not sharp when I received it. I decided to make a convex edge on this small blade and it came out pretty well. Most of the blade would shave hair off my arm but I am having trouble betting the very tip that sharp. It is sharp enough to grab and slice a potato chip bag open so it is alright for now. I'll have to work a bit more on that tip sometime later. Carrying it for the first time today, so we'll see how it rides and performs.

I have been carrying this little knife for about a week now. The ball chain it came with lost the connector and the knife fell off my neck. Replaced the ball chain with a piece of 550 para-cord with the inside removed. It is quieter than the ball chain as that made clicking noises when I moved my head right and left.

Reworked the edge some more and put it on the Sharpmaker and it now shaves better. I did notice the 440c has an issue holding on to the wire edge.

So far I like the little Boker. Used it to cut a few things so far and I forget it is on, it is so light. It is hard to hold on to as it is so small which is what drew me to it in the first place. You always have trade-offs.

I've been eyeing one of these mostly to fill the role of pocket prybar. It looks like something I could toss onto my keychain sidecar to my Spyderco Roadie and be pretty much set for any likely situation as long as I managed to have my keys with me.

Would you say the Kydex sheath is tight enough to safely put this on a keychain? I don't want to have a sharp pocket surprise when I reach for my keys.

I've carried a Toucan on a keychain for over a year. Kydex has held up just fine. Really handy little thing.

My kydex sheath is very secure, in fact you have to pull pretty good to get the knife out which isn't helped my the fact that only about an inch sticks out.

I wouldn't hesitate to put one on a key ring.

Just remember to keep it in the kydex when using the cap lifter. Don't ask. [emoji51]

I think those are based on or a collaboration of sorts with Jared Price. I was on a small knife/tool kick a few years back and remember liking both his folders and his pocket tools. Still find his knives really elegant.
