Boker ridgeback problem?

I bought the knife because I LOVED the looks of it, and when I got it, I loved it even more for the way it fit my hand. BUT, I could not for the life of me get an edge on it. Even with my worksharp, AND taking it to a custom knife maker in my hometown , and he also could not get an edge on it, and he had an apex sharpener. Did I just get a dud or has anyone else had the same problem?
 
Is it a limited edition made of adamantium?

Need more detail? Does it grind down at all? Is the blade metal getting shaved off yet the edge is still dull?

Does it not just sharpen as in your efforts have no effect at all?
 
Yes, the blade does grind down, and sorry but I have gotten rid of the knife and no longer have it
