Discontinued. The Boker “Sky Walker” was designed by knife maker and designer Michael Walker, the originator of the super strong and light weight “Liner-lock” system. It was produced in Solingen, Germany using the strongest and most advanced materials at the time. It was one of the first folding knives to feature carbon fiber scales and anodized blue titanium liners. Scales are attached with torx screws. It weighs only 2.3 ounces. Blade length is 2.875”, Overall length is 7”, Closed is 4.25”. Steel is German 440C. Blade style is Drop Point-Spear Point. It comes in the gift boxed aluminum case, foam lined, in it’s plastic bag with all the papers. This a collectible folder, a stepping stone in the evolution of folding knives.

“Overall Knife of the Year” at 2014 Blade Show and awarded by Blade Magazine”

Out of Production. The CRKT Ken Onion designed “Hi Jinx” is a limited production folder made in Italy for CRKT by Lion Steel Knives, a well known high-end knife maker. The drop-point, flat grind, plain edge blade is 3.3” of Bohler Uddholm’s Sleipner satin finished steel (similar to D2 steel). A frame lock, it features unusual concave scalloped handles of 6al4v titanium. A flipper, it rolls on an IKBS pivot system, very smooth. Overall length is 8.0”, and closed it is 4.78”, weighing a very solid 6 ounces. It is a knife for a collector or user of means. Of all the new knives produced in 2014 none was better than the Hi Jinx per Blade.

This knife is a rare version of Mel Pardue’s custom Model B knife that he allowed Benchmade to manufacture. This unique knife is one from a special sprint run that Benchmade produced and is number 139/500. Unlike the regular Benchmade 850, it has the designation 850-01, the black Dymondwood bolster, the very nice aluminum carrying case. It is NIB, mint!

This Mel Pardue designed 850-01 is an unusual departure from your normal black G10 tactical Benchmades. It has a gentile, go out on the town, or Sunday best feel to it. And the 850-01 looks like a true custom made knife. As already mentioned it is a special production version of Mel Pardue's custom Model B folder.
The shape of the Pardue's ATS-34 blade is a flat grind spearpoint, with a shallow belly. This shape is perfect for general cutting and piercing tasks, or cleaning your fingernails. For a small single blade gentlemen’s folder it is hard to beat the lightweight and smoothness of this knife’s ivory micarta handle. The white ivory micarta lends a nice contrast to the black bolster, think tuxedo.

Here is good YouTube video of the Benchmade 850, the basic model, not this knife model which is the 850-01, showing the knife in action.
