Boker Trench Knife

I've got my eye on this which I saw in the AG Russell catalog recently: http://www.agrussell.com/knives/by_type/straight/bker_1918_wwi_trench_knife_reproduction.html - I've wanted an old German "trench knife" like that since reading war stories as a kid. Does anyone have any experience with it? 75% carbon = 1075 correct? Any information would be appreciated... Thanks!

It looks like an old German trench knife but it isn't an exact reproduction. Eight grooves on the handle instead of nine and the sheath is leather instead of metal. The guard is also different on the originals.

An original German trench knife can be acquired for the same price or cheaper. An original would also appreciate in value.

I can´t find an original trench knife for this price.
The guards and sheaths on the trenchies varied. Often there were bayo sheaths simply shortended to fit the knife.

BÖKER put on only eight grooves on purpose so these knives could easily be identified as the current production knives.
