There was a thread about the Vulkanus here...ya might wanna do a search.
FWIW, I have tried both the "Large" model, and the compact folding field version. The large one is the standard "kitchen knife" sharpener. I cannot get a totally polished razor sharp edge using either version, BUT it does create a toothy cutting edge. Takes some practice though...
