Bolo style knife in ipe.

OAL: 13 inches
Blade: 7 1/2 inches
Breadth: just shy of 1 11/16 at hilt, 1 15/16 at the widest.

1080 steel, 1/8 inch thick with a forge pattern finish, differential temper (some temper still visible) and a convex scandi style grind.

Handle is ipe with a bit of character and figure. Pins and lanyard tubing are stainless.

Tang and spine are lightly blued to match the overall character of the knife.

Sheath is an explorer style, with snap retention and adjustable/removable belt hanger secured through both horizontal straps. This style sheath may be carried on the belt or rigged for carry on gear, shoulder straps, or horizontal.

Sheath is waterformed and double needle hand stitched on all seams. Main welt is double seamed.

Asking $260, SOLD

Thanks!
Christof

Some focus and photo artifact issues in these, but here's in hand, and some photos from the hawk range:

Well, I can't top the last post (LOL!) but man, That is a cool piece of gear Christof! It would make an excellent allround camp knife, especially in the northeast :D.

Epic Blade! I absolutely love this knife. It'd be a pleasure taking that into the woods and I mean northern Wisconsin woods.

i would love to have that stacked with my scandi i got from you. if only i could get a custom piggy back set up. man if only i had the money

mmmm, which sheath is that? if it's an explorer (removable belt hanger) it's easy to piggyback. :D

That is a nice pattern for a blade. Nothing cuts like a wide thin blade made from good steel.

So does the spine have a slight chamfer/swedging to it or is that just the light?

mostly the light. there's a real slight top chamfer, but only about 1/128. Matched by a really slight top spine rounding, it seems to make things a bit more comfy on hands ant batons on a knife this size.
