Bolster Fasteners?

I almost always do pins and peen them on. It is important to use the same grade of stainless for your bolster and your pins. I like 416. There's plenty of good tutorials out there on the process.

I have heard tell of some folks using hidden pins and opening up the the bottom of the hole with a burr so that the pin had room to expand.

I always through pin and peen. I have 303 bolster material and 303 pin stock; and 416 bolster material and 416 pin stock. Both work fine and as long as you don't mix them up the pins disappear.
