Bonded Ivory

One of my work buddies who use to be a gun smith purchased a Colt Pistol and plans on getting some Bonded Ivory handles for it. He wants me to make him a dagger and wants the blade blued and the handle to be bonded ivory. I have checked around and have had no luck finding some. Anyone know where they are available? Thats the stuff but I was looking for scalles or blanks to use on a knife. Those appear to be already made for pistol handles. Thanks.

You may want to give them a call and see if you can buy slabs or blocks. I know Masecraft has a similar product, but I've never used it.

I have used tru ivory on a pistol. It looks very good and is the best substitute for the real thing that I've seen. Its not inexpensive to buy either but much less than pre ban elephant. They will sell you any size you need.
