West systems is a clear epoxy. There is a slight ambering when used on wood. but it appeared to be clear over white fiber glass.

I have been a user of West Systems since it was obtained as a distributorship in the S.F. Bay area in the early eighties. The pump system makes it a great product with all the high value and strength additives. The hardener is what is not clear, but will give a more varnish tint.
TAP Plastics makes a marine line that duplicates the WEST with four different harderers. One of the hardners is clear as is the marine resin. You can interchange these products for boat building ( Wood ,Epoxy , Satuaration, Technique ).
Any where you live you can find hardners that will work in shop temps. TAP just happens to have a clear resin and one clear hardner.
I signed our distributorship with Meade Gougeon sitting on the yacht "Santana" that was once owned by Humphrey Bogart. It still sails on our bay in the Master Mariners Regatta. The product came to be because of the thoughts of Jan and Meade Gougeon and their unique pump system.
Purchase their boat building book for you library. There is a lot of great engineering information.
I no longer work, or am involved with this product

West Systems is great epoxy. It's commonly used in boats and home built airplanes. The pump system is nice as it puts out the resin and hardener in the correct ratio's but it puts out too much at a time. It's best to measure it by weight in smaller quantities. It really heats up when it kicks off if you have a lot in the pot. I had a double pump quantity in a paper cup and left it sitting on my work bench. I came back and it had gone off and left a brown scorch mark in the wood.
