bone handle restoration

I have a antique knife and fork set with bone handles that I think went into dish washer. The coloring on handles is bleached out, any recommendations for restoring the color? thanks, jo1818

A soak in DARK steeped plain brown tea
is often used to add yellow-brown color to ivory
[fake age, or just prefering the look]

likely works on bone too
any grease or other surface contaminant
will likely interfere with absorbtion

? leather dye
if trying any dye
dilute dilute dilute dilute
