Here is another neck knife that I made recently. I almost wanted to keep this one for myself, but maybe next time. This is some 1084 that was forged and heat treated with clay for a nice hamon. The spine is fileworked with a random vine pattern that I like.

The handle is bone that I jigged and aged with potassium permanganate. It is grippy with the recesses and the pins are peened. The whole thing is held together with the pins and acraglas. Even though the pins were peened, they are also shaped to match the peaks and valleys of the jigging.

The sheath is the neck style sheath that I have been making recently. The knife is friction held securely (I put the knife in and cannot shake it out) but a good tug removes the knife with ease. The cord is tied with a double fisherman's knot. If you pull the separate knots in opposite directions it adjusts the length of the cord, allowing you to wear it up close to the neck, down further.

Dimensions
Blade - 3 1/8" tip to handle
OAL - Just a tick over 7"

Price - $195 shipped. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

That is a beautifull knife!! I really wish I had the extra cash right now I would snatch it up. If our make another of these when I have the cash I will definitely own it!

Gorgeous, Matt.
That blade profile and size is fantastic, and I especially like the jigged-in mosaic pin.
Nice score, Auto.
