I am starting to really like bone for handle material. I like how it looks like glass when it is polished up.

This is 1095, clay quenched for a very nice hamon. It has been polished to 2000 grit before etching, and the hamon really shows. the spine is fileworked also and the flats have the forge scale left on them.

The handle is bone. I believe it is cow bone, but I also bought some buffalo bone and it may be that. They kind of got mixed up, but a cow is similar to a buffalo so...same thing, right?

The sheath is 7-8oz hand stitched and tooled leather. The knife fits snugly and draws easily.

Dimensions
Blade - 6" tip to handle
OAL - 11"

Price - $275 shipped to US. I prefer paypal to matt@baileyknives.com, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

It is Shintaro, and it is yours.

Thanks

LA, I have been playing with a slightly different polishing technique. I kind of like the results.
