Good looking blade. Guess it's just me, but for me it doesn't look like a hunter if it doesn't have a good guard. If it's a full blade tang with a couple of scales it just doesn't do it for me as a hunter...as a steak knife or kitchen knife sure, but as a woodman's knife I'm not so sure. I'd be a very happy camper indeed with your knife. That camel bone came out sweet. How did you get that color tone?

Nice choice of materials Ian, The bone handle and blade design work well together. What is the thickness of the steel?
 
Mike, the steel is 3/16" thick. I think this is sturdy enouth for a hunting knife and not to heavy.

Ian, that's a very good looking Hunter with plenty of guard for safety. i particularly like the big choil so you can choke it up for perfect blade control.
if i didn't already have many custom Hunters, i'd snap this one up; very attractive and i'm sure it's design will field dress with ease. nice one !
