My brother was hiking below Buford Dam in Ga today and found these bones. They do not look like deer bones to me - more like an arm and forearm bones...

What do you guys think? I told him to call the sheriff department just in case.

Your advise to call the Sheriff's Department is probably right on the money. I'm no bone expert, but they don't really look like too many animal bones I've ever seen either. The Deputies can help get it sorted out. Let us know what you find out. -Matt-

Looks as if the 'forearm' could have both a radius and ulna, but it's just turned up on it's side.. Not really sure though, cause when I took a second look I began to second guess myself.

Without knowing the lengths, we'd have been hard pressed to know for sure.

But the bone on the left is a radius and the right is an ulna. If it's dog bones, it's a right foreleg.

Looks to be deer bones...you might want to keep them, they could be used to make a nice bone flute.
