Well, the scales came out alright. One end is darker than the other, but that's okay beings that was the end what was darker to begin with. That's how it was cut. The red did not make it too much darker beings that koa is already pretty much red... kinda. Pics tomorrow once they dry some more. The red plastic is kinda softer than the acrylic, so taking some time to set up again. I guess also soaking them in straight MEK would leech out the color if soaked long enough and start over. Interesting sidenote. Dunno if I mentioned it, but the new air compressor and that $16 HF venturi vacuum pump works amazing. The mityvac took way too long. Made for a real nice pec workout though! You do need a lot of air, so I doubt 26gal tanks or smaller would be able to keep up unless you have a model that move a A LOT of air. I just wonder how long the lexan chamber cover will last being full of MEK fumes for days at a time when I use it.
