Bonsai trees ?

Those are very nice Dave I like the Juniper the most makes mine look kind of sad. What aboot moss on top do you think that's a good idea ?

No, I have found it creates problems, but some people like it. your choice, really.

I picked up a starter pot for my clump style Willowleaf Ficus today. Not a true bonsai pot but shallower than the 8" plastic nursery pot it is in and it has a drain hole and unglazed inside. I'll be getting some soil this weekend and will post pics when potted. I'll also be adding more drainage holes.

I can post pics of that process if anyone is interested.

For now, this seemed like a decent place to post my other tree project.

The tree under it is the yamadori Eastern Red Cedar I mentioned.

Yes ! Then you can make or have members make for you some nice miniature pruning tools !

Ace hardware locally sells a nice small pair of pointy pruners that I use for cut flowers, and anything small. They run around $10.

They are nice, but they aren't Bonsai. Jap Maples make nice potted trees. Have one that came up from seed and need to dig it out and pot it.

I spend a great deal of time messing with my plants. Never really got into the Bonsai hobby. I could easily actually as it is right up my alley. Rupestris, I like those trees. Keep up the good work.
