He put a knife on sale, priced reasonable, in new condition.
He had not one, but three or maybe four takers with the money ready. Suddently he withdraws the item, stating he just sold it to local buddy.
I wouldn't call this fair play. I know, boobar have pretty good reputation, fine, I'll be the first with negative responce.

I admit, I may not know all rules written or implied, so "let's see what the pack will say about this"

He sold it to someone else - get over it. It was his knife and his choice - you did not lose anything -you have absolutely no reason to complain.

David is right. I know it sucks, but the seller has the discretion to sell it elsewhere. a lot of sellers post on other forums too. as long as you're not out of money, you're ok. cross-forum posting does have its downsides.

Should I say thank you? nicely?
I fact, yes. Thank you boobar, you saved my money for something else.
Hell, I have to pay for my Milganza order this week…
Its just that particular knife loose that wind me up. I'm after PE TSEK for a long time.

I am sorry that you are unhappy but this is the only way it could have worked out. I will not ship to a friend who will then ship to the person that I sold the knife to, that's not the way I do business. This is why I only cater to US buyers. The knife was sold to a very good friend of mine, end of story.

He did not agree to sell it to you. As long as he does not have your money he can do whatever he wants with his knife.

David

PS: It will happen many times (in your life) that you will not get what you want... get used to it.

The objective for boobar is to sell his knife. If he can do so without having the hassles involved with shipping, then all the best to him. If he had accepted a deal from someone and then turned around and sold it somewhere else, that would have been a lousy thing to do.

You certainly don't have to thank him, but you don't have to criticize him either.

he sold it to someone in his own town vs worrying with ya and shipping to russia, i dont blame him, please remember its his property and he can sell to whom he chooses imho, i'm sure ya will find the knife ya want soon anyway, just keep looking, no reason to be mad at all imho, if i got pissed everytime a knife i wanted was sold out from underneath me, well i would be pissed to darned much lol.

let me guess the brand, i bet it was a busse.

edited to add: just checked the link, was a BM, well imho its the 1st time in a while it wasnt a busse, folks get worked up about those things.

If you guys say its normal than it is. Mutual agreement is essential, and I didnt get any okays from the seller. Now I've got more things to do and worse problems to solve.

If you and he had no deal then it was still for sale to whomever he wanted to sell it to. Just cause someone posts I'll take it does not mean they will get it.
