Anyone have any good suggestions for books (or even websites) that show how to make a lockback folder via the stock removal method? I have Bob Terzuola's book on liner locks, but was hoping to start with something a bit more simple in the lockback.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

The ultimate book on the subject is "How To Make Folding Knives" by Ron Lake, Frank Centofante and Wayne Clay

Thanks for the suggestion Cubane. I was looking at getting that book, but Amazon has a few poor reviews of it which make me wonder whether it is worth shelling out close to $150 for it. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the link Cubane - I just ordered one off another Aussie website for under 50 bucks (Bunduki had it for $75), hopefully I'll get it next week! Good to see a fellow Aussie on the forums!

Hate to tell you to do this but go over to theknifenetwork.com and under their workshop forum they show all the steps to do a lockback.

Thanks for the link Argel, I'll check it out today sometime. I'm happy I've ordered the book - as with Terzuola's I'm going to need something in the workshop to reference to. Books tend to be more in-depth than websites, but even if I do end up printing out the info on the site you mentioned, the more info I have, the better!

The website on knife network will help you out when you are building one but the Ron Lake section of the book will help you design the knife you want.
