Ooohh, this would make a nice sticky. Thanks man, I'll try to research them and pick some up.
I'll also look up some more and add them here later.
 
"Lucifer's Hammer" was an interesting read and probably one of the most realistic novels about the madness of what could happen during a real bad time. It also has a Senator in it that is a hero and he's also a bum in my opinion and that character would be realistic as well. They would turn people out that didn't toe the line of the petty dictators that would rise up out of the ashes of any such mess.

The three best all-around books I have ever read (and still own) on the subject are:

1. Outdoor Safety and Survival by Paul Risk
2. Life After Doomsday by Dr. Bruce Clayton
3. Whatever the new $20.00 thick compilation from John Wiseman was titled. :D

They're all non-fiction though.
 
oohh... now this could be trouble for me...:o thanks for putting up the list, there are a few on there that i have been meaning to check out...:thumbup:
