I want to start making folding knives, I've got a dozen or so fixed blades under my belt and have been wanting to try a folder . I don't have a specific preference as to what type of lock, so I'm open to suggestions or opinions on where to start. Are there any good books worth buying that go through a step by step build? Thanks

"The tactical folding knife" by Bob Terzuola. If you can find a copy.

If you hit the search function (heck, it might even be in The Count's big ole' sticky), the count's put up a link to the PDF of it somewhere on this forum.

There are lots of good tutorials on this and other forums. Those, along with the book previously mentioned and some tutorials on different makers websites have been invaluable to me on my first Linerlock that I've started. I'm not sure of the policy on linking to other forums so I'll hold off on that unless somebody can tell me.

These are some that helped me.
Good luck!
