Updated for 2010 with some new titles.

Yet again, too much stuff and not enough dollars. I love books, and I idly collect and accumulate them. Most of these were purchased new, but some were used when I got them. They've all been handled and read, but are in good shape unless noted otherwise (of course, some of the older titles look their age).

I got a headache looking up pricing on Amazon and Alibris- some of these are out of print and apparently go up for sale at ridiculous prices. I'm less interested in getting top dollar than in paying some bills and buying groceries, so feel free to make an offer if you think a price is too high.

About the only trades I'm interested in right now are laminated Moras or decent-sized pieces of sheath leather.

All prices include shipping in the US via Media Mail. I can take Paypal (no fee) or a USPS money order. First "I'll take it" posted in this thread gets it. You can reach me via PM or my forum e-mail, j_roth42 At yahoo Dot com. Please note I'm often at work and away from the computer and can only consistently check communications mornings and evenings. Let me know if you have any questions. I don't know much of the specifics of book grading but I'll do what I can.

Knife Fighting Encyclopedia Vol. 1 by W. Hock Hockheim- softcover, Lauric Press, 2nd ed., 2000. In fair shape- several dogeared pages but otherwise fine. Out of print, and for some reason all the copies I can find online are all (mint,) signed by the author, and cost upwards of $125.00, though Mr. Hockheim himself gave the book one star in a review on Amazon. I’ll try $ 20.00.

Bolt Action Rifles 3rd ed. By Frank de Haas- softcover, 1995, $15.00.

Gunsmithing: Rifles by Patrick Sweeney- softcover, Krause, 1999, $12.00 10.00.

Practical Gunsmithing by Editors of American Gunsmith- softcover, AGI Media/DBI Books, 1996. Another confusing one- heavily worn copy online for $89? Let’s try $12.00.

The Military Arms of Canada by the Upper Canada Historical Society- softcover, 47 pages, Museum Restoration Service, 1963. An interesting book, starts with muzzleloaders and ends with the FN-FAL. In fair shape. $10.00.

The Complete Book of Rifles and Shotguns by Jack O’Connor- hardcover (no dust jacket), Outdoor Life, 2nd ed., 1965. $20.00.

Reloading Manuals- Nosler 4 and 5, Speer 13- all for $14.00 10.00.

A Naturalist Buys an Old Farm by Edwin Way Teale- hardcover (1st ed., I think), Dodd, Mead, and Co., 1974, $15.00.

Pocket Guide to Beer 7th Edition by Michael Jackson- hardcover, Running Press, 2000. $6.00.

The Art of Cidermaking by Paul Correnty- softcover, Brewers Publications, out of print so the aftermarket is insane, $12.00.

Bull Cook and Authentic Historical Recipes and Practices
by George and Berthe Herter- (gold) hardcover w/ a few scuffs, 17th ed., 1971, $12.00.

Foxfire 2- original softcover, Anchor Books, 1973. In great shape, $10.00

Foxfire 3- original softcover, Anchor Books, 1975. Faded spine, otherwise solid, $7.00

Principals of Engineering Drawing for Technical Students by Charles C. Leeds- hardcover, D. Van Nostrand Company, 1919. Cool old engineering text, in good shape, $10.00

Faith in a Seed by Henry David Thoreau, hardcover with clear slipcover on dustjacket, Island Press, 1993. $15.00

No Surrender: My Thirty Year War by Hiroo Onoda- hardcover, Kodansha International, book club edition, 1974. Dust jacket is in rough shape. Interesting account of a pair of Japanese soldiers abandoned in the Philippines surviving in the bush for, yes, about thirty years. They never got word WWII ended. $12.00

The Appeal by John Grisham- hardcover, Doubleday, 2008. $8.00

Still looking for laminated Mora blades and knives.

Poisonous Plants of California
by Fuller and McClintock- hardcover, UC Press, 1986. 400+ pages, seems pretty exhaustive but I don’t live in California. $10.00 Sold.
