Can anyone recommend a book on edible and useful plants (found in the US)? Wilderness survival type books....

also maybe a book on tying knots and builder shelters/fires...ect?

If you have links to the books that would be helpful too!

Thanks.

It's important to tell us which part of the U.S. you're in. Plants vary from one region to another. Also, IMHO, one book is not enough by far. You need to be able to cross-reference. I have one book that says Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) berries are edible, another that says they're poisonous. Get the idea?

Storl is compiling lists of books on his website. Hopefully he'll pop in with a link for you.
