It's important to tell us which part of the U.S. you're in. Plants vary from one region to another. Also, IMHO, one book is not enough by far. You need to be able to cross-reference. I have one book that says Virginia Creeper (Parthenocissus quinquefolia) berries are edible, another that says they're poisonous. Get the idea?
