Boot knife question

I have a few boot knives, and would love to.. but in VA that would qualify as a concealed dirk...

by the way charlie mike, how did you attach that knife to your boot?

the one pair of boots that I have rigged up to take a knife, I sewed the sheath on

I cut 2 1.5" horizontal slits in my boot. The laws in my state also frown on this, unless I hike my pants into my boots.

great idea:thumbup: i usually carry different neck knives in my sock but when its hot( i live in florida) it rubs the hell out of my ankle. the tip of the sheath is in the boot alittle to keep it stable and a pocket clip holds it to the sock not a great method but works for a small knife i wear more of work boots than cowboy boots so they dont go high up the ankle

Only for the ball peen. I might add an adjustable wrench of equal weight (16oz) to hang under the other arm to let the rig ride a little more evenly.

Does that setup cause the side of the boot to droop? I wear engineer boots as well, and though the leather is pretty stiff, I can imagine a knife causing the side of the boot it is fixed to to sag a bit.

I don't have that knife with me at the moment otherwise I'd weigh it. The grip is skeletonized and I barely notice it when carried this way.

It's not an EDC per se.... just a novelty rig for when the zombies come

i find myself edc'ing all of my knives atm but a ball pein takes the cake as far as zombie preparedness goes

lol im glad im not the only one who makes shoulder rigs for zombie stuff, my kukri fits in really well

as for the boot knife i made a sheath for it but didnt size it correctly so some paracord was added to make it disappear
