i just got a new pair of jungle boots that are about 7 and a half inches tall and i was wanting to get a boot knife for them but i cant seem to find a well built boot knife for cheap caould anyone help me

Are you looking for traditional double-edge dagger style blades or any blade design? Cold Steel Kobun and a few others like their push daggers, Ka-bar TDI, some times you can find the old Camillus boot knife for less than $10.

While they're not labeled as such, there are a number of neckers that make very good boot knives. You might take a look at the Becker BK-14, for instance.

Bubba...

Next time you run across one of those camillius boot knives for 10 or 15 bucks...let me know...i'd love to have another one and since i'm unable to get out and about my finding one is next to impossible...

i will be extremely greatful for your help...thanks...

Tuck a KaBar USMC down in there. :p

Seriously though, Kershaw makes a nice looking boot knife for about $40 I've been thinking about getting one for a while, but every time I go to buy it I find something better. There's also the Gerber Guardian and the KaBar TDIs are good too. All of these are under $50.

You can find the Kershaw Military Boot Knife for $40 or less with a bit of shopping.

It's got a 4.5-inch blade with an overall length of 9.0-inches.

The fallkniven garm fighter is a nice double edged boot knife.
Except they are over $100.00

handle cracked on mine after a few months...I never even used it! prolly could have sent it into kershaw but ended up just writing it off. I have a old kershaw trooper but its a little heavy for a boot knife, but I'm not too confident in kershaws "cheaper" knives after that happened.

I agree with looking into the becker neck knife.

Just out of curiousity....do you want a knife on your boots as a "fashion accessory" or do have any application for it in mind?

i was wondering that myself about the OP...a barretta 380 worn on the inside of the left ankle is an excellent "boot knife"...LOL....wore one for there for 20 years....

Thanks for all the suggestions on boot knive, i want the camillius...simply for nostalgic value...lost mine when hurricane katrina washed our house into the gulf...

Thanks for keeping an eye out Bubba,,,i enjoy shopping vicariously...

For the Camillus, I lost my first one also and the next two I found I had shipped to family. That first one I found I paid $3 for it on e-bay, practically brand new, and I was ecstatic. It was one of the few fixed blades I had with me in Iraq and I would drill SouthNarc's material with it - it was a great deal for what it was and rather sturdy.

Depending on what you want to do with the knife there might be better options though. If I see one I'll try to let you guys know through e-mails since I don't want to deal spot on Spark's forums.

Crkt sting, but you will need better sheath.

Also - one of the smith and wesson hrt boot knives. They are chinise 440, but quite nice.
After all it is boot knife, you wont be doing daily hores with it.

Gerber Guardian. Around $40. They are sold at PX's on every military post because they are one of the few "boot knives" that will fit comfortably in a short (and rather tight around the leg when laced) combat boot.
