Boots!

I know before I said i wear the CF boot. But i was wondering if anyone else could recormend me a hight cut boot thats lighter

I'm on my 2nd pair of jump boots... went through 4 pair of drill boots over 6.5yrs in air cadets. First pair of jump boots finally wore out in the heel after 4yrs of daily wear. This pair is only about 6 months so far, already blown out the metal ring on the 4th eyelet up.

Toss on decent wool socks and jumpboots can't be beat for comfort. Never mind the $40 for 4yrs of wear. If I wasn't blowing a 550 lace every month it'd be better... but at $3 for 30 feet and using 7 feet for a boot lace it's not bad(just adds up)

Zamberlan Civetta Gore Tex. Great boots. I've had mine since 2000. I've used them from Snow hikes to dessert hikes to hiking the summit of Mt. Whitney. I don't think they make these anymore. Too bad.

I'm in 135 challenger squadron what squadron did you use to be in?

If you like your go-devils but want something more civilian, stick with Danner. I have a pair of their Mountain lite IIs I have had for years and they have held up great. Brown with green laces makes them look nice and friendly where military style boots might not be the impression to give.

march 96-jan 00 I was in 702 lynx
jan 00 - dec 02 I was in 107 spitfire

basic 9803, acic 9901, staff 02(albatross squadron) all at penhold.

I was on drill, range and honour guard, flag party commander, and trained with biathalon.

light hiking = Asolo Cerro Torre
Hunting = Danner Ft. Lewis Uninsulated GTX
Woodsbumming = Sandals or barefoot, usually the later.
