This is what I do when I'm bored at work....Took me a while to get the chamfer right on the front, but I think I got it..:D

I think I should clarify that these are computer renderings done in solidworks...That being said the wood is mahogany and I don't have any plans to make an actual scale. I have been tossing around the the idea of designing my own benza with the features I like but, thats a far off dream of mine that will have to come when I can afford my own hobby shop. For now I'm just playing with 3d modeling...

Those are awesome. To bad you couldn't just hit "send" to a milling machine and spit a few out. Think of all the cool materials you could load it with. I'll take a slab in clear plexiglass so I can marvel at my Damascus blade when its folded closed :p

Oh....that's right......I don't own a Damascus folder....darn it.

Based on the background I thought they might be renderings, but on my 9" screen I couldn't tell. Now on the 27" it's pretty easy to see. Cool either way!

It would be nice but, unfortunately I don't have anything to send it to..:grumpy:

Ah reminds me of bryce and cad.

looks good though, the wood one looks like it'd feel great in the hands.

Had a little more free time so I added some holes. I have also discovered the bottom edge of the scale is not straight. There is the tiniest bit of a curve to it. The chamfer around the two screws was also a bit tricky to get right. Not quite happy with the model though. It's not not quite right. The picture I used in the background was of a CF scaled sebenza and the shadows on the edge blend in with the CF so I don't have a clear view of the exact edge. The picture was also taken off angle so things aren't quite in perspective. The plan is to take a better picture and re-do everything. This little project is the first I've dealt with surfacing so there's been a bit of a learning curve.

Haha...when I get some funding...lol...I'm just a guy who uses cad at work. I don't have any equipment other than my laptop unfortunately.
