Bose/Case Coffin Jack

Thanks JD, I was pleasantly surprised to feel the grind went down to a thin edge, some don't do that as we know and make for a frustrating pocket knife, makes you wonder what people are thinking, or they are just protecting the blade by keeping it thick, less chance of harm coming to it.

Beautiful Gary !!!

I have always loved the look of that knife. "Bose/Case" knives just reek of quality and Case will be all over it if you are not satisfied in any way. With that reassurance I bought a Case Bose (not the coffin) and I am thrilled with the collaboration and the results.

Glad you are happy and I hope this one sticks on 'ya!

Oh, forgot - the permission slip signed by Tony to allow carry of the man purse is fun stuff! Show it!

Haha indeed, it is a rare thing to be granted such a privilege, here's the doc, certain things are whited out to protect their signatures from being copied and pasted on a fake document for themselves!

Gary, get yourself one of the Winchester coffins and compare it to your Bose/Case. You can find them at a good price usually, and while not quite as refined, they are as well made and very good looking with the knurl bolster and Rogers bone. I'd be interested in your take on the comparison. I found the Winnie to be the better knife, but there's nothing like pulling out the Bose coffin at cocktail hour (well, with the exception of a ebony radio jack:D ymmv).

Nice sir, will keep an eye out for them too, nice pattern the Coffin jack!

Thanks for posting the legal document!

:)

(and I'm pretty sure that Tony would even agree that your sheath is FAR from girly! I bet that he would even want one!)

I agree with coolio that the Winchester Coffin Jack (2921) is the next best thing to the Bose/Case collaboration, all things considered.;)

Thanks Eric and deskill, nice shot of that one, right now I have a couple things in bound so my coin is tied up at the moment, but, since I have the Bose/Case version, I'm pretty set on that model and wouldn't need another, but it's good to know as there are others that might want to give that a go !

Here's a shot taken of her and a small fixed blade friend, they go well together sorta, but in any case, the Coffin Jack has proven to be very handy knife, it's thicker handle proved to be a more substantial grip while using, nice, very nice ;)

Thanks Gary, I'm on the lookout for the Tribal Spear at some point to add that to the nest.

And Joe and Brad, those Ebony scaled ones look really nice too ! The shield on this one sits a little high on the scales but not too bad, plus it's pinned so it should keep well in place.

The Tribal Spears are addicting. I have an ebony that I EDC every day, an antique bone that I use for special occassions, and a damascus that I just got. The Tribal Spear propelled me into the custom market, with an Oeser Zulu I got a couple years ago and a Dr T Zulu on the way.

As for the coffin jack, I like mine a lot. Great little knife.

Great pictures Gary! This collaboration between Bose & Case is one of the best they've done IMHO. Here's the ebony model that I'll carry from time to time. I've also a bone model like yours that I keep tucked away for a rainy day. :)

Just a terrific knife and a great daily carry. Good stuff! ****Liking that sheath btw.

I must say I lust after that ebony, oh well, some day.

Yes, well, they are hard to find, I had a want to buy up but ended up using the funds for the Fiddleback Forge Runt, which is also a pretty cool small knife. I hope to one day get one of the Tribal Spears too, it would make a good companion to the Coffin Jack I think.
