Alright Hogs, Assuming nothing of course, lets say the BJ goes into production and is offered..."what if" there arent options to pick "one of the three variants" Lets take a count on which proto version you would want to see in CG. Hopefully we will have the option to choose, but like I said assume nothing. Either way which one are you picking?

My Vote: Large Choil

...allthough I would be happy with the choiless version, I actually do use choils for choking up.

Large Choil!!!!!!!!!!! its imperative that this size blade be choked up on sometimes for more delicate work. Please large choil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depends on blade length. Anything under 5" should not have a choil. IF it is over 5" I find a large choil helpful to allow for choking up on the blade for finer tasks.

Still... Does anyone know the blade length yet on the Boss Jack???

it looks like 6-7"...

EDIT TO ADD: Should we really be referring to the Boss Jack as a BJ? just sayin....

depends on how thick the blades are. 3/16" id say id prefer the large choil. if its in the 1/4" thick range id go without a choil.

Black/Black full height flat grind, large choil

-buyonegetonefree-

Black/Black full height flat ground, small choil (the small choils are the bee's knees for dealing with joints/tendons when boning)

I'd be partial to a satin/blue&black but my wallet wouldn't support it.

I say no choil. My TB needs company. The ASH and SFNO already hangout in the same size range with choils.

NOOoooo... choil.

The way things are going now I should be able to get a Busse of nearly every size range and none of them with a choil.

HOG Muk.
Tank Buster.
Boss Jack.
Killa Zilla.

(Though I'll probably get a NMFSH anyway)

The BJ is actually in a size range where I don't mind a full size choil, but I still generally prefer no choil, and the no choil version is a thing of beauty.

Imagine the power you can put into your cuts for bushcrafting, making fuzz sticks and traps and all that good stuff, with the edge so close to your hand.
