I'm interested... Are the dark areas along the edge reflections? Hard to see what the condition of the blade is from the pics (which is hard to fault, I'm awful at taking knife pics myself).

I replied to you PM with more bad pictures

The edge is scratchy from my sharpening attempts, but I would call the scratches superficial. I'll try to get some better pics of the blade in the daylight tomorrow and post them here.
