BOSS Jack VS. .50 BMG. . . Aka. . . Powdered INFI ! ! ! !

Well, if you have a bunch of "junk" blanks just laying around, I have a slingshot I could shoot them with, just to check them out.

:D

The shot was made at 80 yards.

Don’t think of a .50 BMG round as a rifle bullet; think of it as a small artillery round. I have extreme respect for the .50 BMG because I’ve seen what it does to people and 80 yards is DANGER CLOSE for shooting anything capable of causing a ricochet or secondary projectiles. Even a small portion of that .50 cal round will likely be heavier than a 7.62 or 5.56mm round, and cause similar or greater damage if it returns to sender or someone near by. I don’t want to read later where someone took a 60 grain chunk of bullet or knife blade in the brain and now is laying in the morgue.

We shot from behind a reinforced bunker of sorts for that very reason. But you still make some really good points.

It might just be safer to drink excessively and skip all of the crazy shooting at blades!

Let's Drink!

Huh. I've been away for a few days and this is what I missed.

Boss, that's pretty cool of you to shoot that blank for us... and now, since it was a choilless no fuller version you have one to make a SAR 2 out of for David Brown. :p

Oh, and I really like how the no fuller convex protos resemble a SAR 6 blade shape. Thanks for making a few of those available to us.
