Boss Jack?

Hey Busse Combat,
Now that the ganza is over you can release the BOSS Jack. Let's have at it!

Ok BOSS JACK, BOSS JACK, BOSS JACK!!!!

in a few month or maybe half a year from now, I need my wallet to recover.

I'm afraid the UG is it, with respect to a reissue of the SJ.

let's just hope this Gaanza offering aren't the only ones.

maybe a Company Store offering in different colors is coming? or from Busse direct, in the mid-size category (but in coated since the DC ones from the Gaanza will be 'special')

Man, I hope not. The UG basically has the length of a RMD but the RMD is has a broader blade. I think when we see pics of the UG next to a SJ the UG will look quite a bit smaller. Plus it is .240" thick which is:thumbdn::thumbdn:

I'm still hoping for a BOSS Jack that is not just a regrind of an HG55 and is more in the 3/16" thick range.

Come on now guys, this thread is never going to stop is it? We call know unless Jerry posts it, then it doesn't count.

Ah, young one. I recall when the SFNO SFNO SFNO SFNO threads were around. What happened? NMSFNO. Busse fans are a patient bunch.

Heck, I remember when the boys settled (momentarily) for the SOW. LOL It truly was like Christmas to them.

I hope not, the UG looked almost exactly like the HG55.

Yeah, but i think you guys are asking for the wrong thing the BOSS isn't an exact copy of the old blade. Its a combat grade version, which is bigger fatter and different. What you got to be asking for is SE Jack or Anniversary Jack, so it remains the same. Granted everybody wants an affordable version, so that means Anniversary, does anybody know when the anniversary for jacks are?

I mean UG is as different from Jack as the Boss Jack will be. Jerry could have skipped this ganzza and just offered UG as Boss Jack.

All that said I wouldn't mind getting my hands on the original design or something close to it. And I did get me a BUG.

Volk, I think you have a point there. The ASH-1 is an example of what we need so maybe we should call it an Anniversary Jack. Something with the same blade length, OAL, and thickness. The Grudge is not the same as a SJ in any of those dimensions.

I know its not the same, thats why I said the boss Jack will not be the same. The thumb jimping first appeared on the HG55 which is also a BOSS model, then moved on to Sar's and now to BUG. The thickness and length in the original and BOSS models are also different. The Boss Steet is .75 inches longer then original and is thinner (I think) so over all it bears resemblance to the original yet it is distinctly different. This blade could have been easily been given a title Boss Jack, so while we'd still complain about the thickness and the length, you'd buy it.

And while the BUG is no Jack, it is still a very good looking knife. I do agree that .25 thickness for that blade length is a bit to much. However for this price a DC Busse Medium knife is a bargain, so I'm thankful you guys didn't go for it, because I got less competition :D:cool:
