BOSS Knives? Wow.

Mike, I think they both look fine. They look exactly as they were pictures. That's not a problem. :) I agree that it's a great buy. Yes, the one that doesn't close completely does have BOSS on the blade.
 
Okay Mike. I'll order one once they are in stock. (The Parasite/Host). Sounds very promising, I love the idea. I only am putting off the order because I'm not good at balancing my checkbook... Need to know, ya' know?... ;-)

It looks like the designs are interesting to say the least. The 420hc on my friends buck seems reasonable. Certainly better than the no name steels found on many imports. I sharpened the buck about a month ago. I'll check w/ him and see how its holding up.

I don't know much about the BOSS line, but I've had better luck keeping a decent edge on 420HC blades (like the Buck 110) than I have on any of the AUS6 stuff from CRKT. Look at that stuff funny and it goes dull.

CRKT themselves says their AUS 6 is at Rc 55 - 57, hardly comparable to other AUS 6 offerings with a better heat treat and hardness.
