HOGs,

I'm very tempted by the BOSS Street but wanted your input on the handle first.

The BAD (Boney Active Duty) has my favorite small knife handle while the SAR 4's is my least favorite. How would you rate the comfort and grip of the BOSS Street compared to these?

Thanks.

John

I have all three Blades and I like the Boss Street handle grip the best!! It just feels great in the hand!Very secure. You will love it and can't go wrong(IMO).

There is more to it than the BAD:D

As long as you don't mind the handle heavy balance, the boss street handle is AWESOME. The straight handle is super versatile and comfortable in a lot of different grips.

i think it's a great handle perfect size and reminiscent of the baIII handle, go for it!

I have a SS (same handle as the Meaner), a GW, and I had a BAD which I traded.

I think I like the Boss Street handle the best. Way comfortable.

which (3rd Gen) knives are you referring to when you say this?

the 3rd gen handle was a standard pattern and size, they were all the same. they all had an index finger position that wasn't tall enough to give solid purchase compared to the rest of the handle, so it felt like it was slipping around in the hand. While the rope pattern is nice looking, it's no where near as solid as the quilted pattern on the boss street (carried over from the ergo scales)

straight
ergo
3rd gen (sj, ba, tanker a, etc)
and so on

I used to have an AD and Heavy Duty. I never liked the handle.
I love the handle on boss street. Very comfy and due to decent guard - secure.

ah, thanks. ;)

I prefer the MS and AD style handle over the Boss Street. The Boss Street handle felt heavy in the hand to me and the MS, with the same basic blade as the Boss Street, is much more comfortable for me.

If Busse came out with an anorexic Boss Street I don't think I could resist as that would lighten the handle up quite a bit.

I like it... I wish they would make a BOSS street in a thin version though.... like the BAD version of the Active Duty

+1

On a knife this size, a lot of the time I like to be able to hold it so the butt / pommel is in the palm of my hand
with my index finger running down the spine.

The AD and MrS handles are perfect for this... and the MrS has the same cutting edge profile as the BOSS STreet.
