Boston Bomber sentenced to death.

I understand why some are happy about this guy receiving the death penalty. However, I am afraid this will drag on forever before he is executed, and I am even more afraid he will die being viewed by some as a martyr. I would have rather seen him get life in prison in the general population. The other inmates would eventually put him down in a much more appropriate way than simply going to sleep from lethal injection.
 
Good observations, all. Hopefully he will not be seen as a martyr by others. I remember, however, that this was the fear when executing Mc Veigh. And it did not happen to any damaging degree...'-)

I understand this side of things. As was pointed out above, the feds move relatively fast when the death penalty is handed out. If this young man is truly a dedicated martyr then he will skip his appeals make right with Allah lay down and take his poison like a good boy. But he won't. This young man never wanted to die for his cause and was unwilling to do so. If he was, then he would have come up out of that boat shooting. That aside, say he got life. I have to say I am amazed at what we as humans can get used to. Sure, he would be locked up, but the endless butt rape does not and would not happen, and if it did they would never let it happen to him. He would be protected and fed for the rest of his days. He would get his Koran and he would get to preach his hate for the rest of his life.

Since we are civilized in this country and don't believe in "cruel and unusual" punishement, that scumbag won't get what he REALLY deserves - to be strapped to an explosive devise and have his legs blown off, then left to bleed to death in pain and agony! Then he should be wrapped in a pigskin and fed to some starving dogs. THAT is what he deserves!!!!:mad:

(sometimes even younger) That scumbag deserves to be spread-eagled and chained to the floor in a hog farm, and then boars released. I doubt the 72 virgins would want whatever was left of him.

Only one death isn't enough for that POS.

I would be satisfied if he were executed by firing squad - no blindfold - tomorrow at dawn...;-)

Whatever happens, it will be too good for him. The one's they are catching here are getting put away in prisons so that we have to pay for their keep for however they are in there. I have thoughts about what should happen to them as well. :D

But as it turns out scholars studying the ancient literature have discovered that the 72 virgin thing was a bit of a mistranslation.

As it turns out, it is not 72 virgins, but one 72 year old virgin.

The sad part is that the injured were asking the judge to NOT give the death penalty !!!
Those terrorists come here to KILL Americans !

BTW a recent execution took place 13 years after the crime ! Let's stop that nonsense !

Prime example: Jeffrey Dahmer. But. Why risk it. Take him out behind the barn. Come back in alone and ask where the shovel is. Done and done.
