Has anyone here ever ordered anything from botac.com? They have very good prices on some items, but my innate paranoia is kicking in. I'm afraid they may be too good to be true. So if any of you have done business with them, I'd be interested to hear about your experiances.

I have never had a problem as long as I call first to make sure the item is in stock. I have ordered lots of stuff from them in the past and never a problem. Just make sure they have it in stock. keepem sharp
 
Theyre a huge distributor that also deals with the public. They have logistics problems. If you keep it simple you shouldnt have a problem. Make sure its in stock and order on the same phone call. They do have the best price in town on some things. I dont see any reason why you shouldnt at least give them a try.

Some people suggest calling and asking if it's in stock. Others will tell you when you try that, they lie.
 
I've had good and bad luck with them.

What LHD said, I agree, keep it simple with them. Also, do not expect any customer service to remedy whatever problems you get with your order.

In the past I've bought Sanyo lithium batteries from them. Never been disappointed with my battery orders.
Another time I ordered pepper sprays, 1 small and 2 large. They sent me 2 small and 1 large, even though they billed me for the 1 small and 2 large. I emailed to complain, no response. I tried calling their phone number, left a message. No response. That's when I decided to stop doing business with them.
 
Run away run away!!! They got my order wrong, their customer service was atrocious when I was trying to get it fixed, and then on top of that the to this day spam my email account with their crap despite repeated requests that they stop. I would never order from them again.
 
They sent me an obviously used or "showroom" watch. When confronted with this......the Botox disappearing act began. They became very hard to get in touch with, not answering mail and not returning phone calls. Basically, they said....."it's new"........that's nice with all the scratches and marks on the band! At the time, I was busy with a lot of other things and had to let this one slide. I will never use them again. Also, their sales personnel don't have the slightest idea what the product is or isn't.
