Put in a order on 8/7 and didn't receive a delivery confrimation till 8/14 despite repeated attempts, I only got 3 or 4 word, snippy replies to earnest and clear questions. I finally called them and it took three different people just to get a confirmation. Each one except the last gave me false or made up information about my order. Given time and some training for their personnel, they could be top notch. Botach Tactical, you guys need some work.

Botach Tactical: Good Prices, Bad Service

paranoid9999, your luck is not running good. First the KnifeCenter and now Botach. I have never had any problems with either of these. Maybe things will get better.

Yeah. I hear you Big Tex. I guess I wouldn't feel so bad if I hadn't experienced good customer service in the first place. The thing is that good customer service is very much in the realm of the possible. To add to that, I will say that I am not a ball buster when it comes to customer service. All I wanted was a timely, and accurate confirmation on delivery. I wasn't looking for their firstborn or something. I did get upset when they apparently started to fabricate stuff instead of saying, "I don't know." I will say that they had really good prices for what I was looking for. At least they're not crooks or something, just on the incompetent side.
I didn't have any luck with them either.I tried ordering a surefire light for a shotgun express shipping so I could have it within a couple of days of me ordering.Days went by without a confirmation.After an inquiry I find out they are out of the product I wanted and they offer me a discount on a more expensive model.I declined due to I didn't need to spend more money on a feature I didn't need and also I wanted it in my hands in a couple of days not weeks.Basically,they left me hanging and if I didn't inquire about my order lord knows for how long I would be sitting waiting thinking its on the way.Chow,Ralph
Great prices, PP service... I guess that is the trade-off... at least the knife dealers don't follow the lead of the LE Equipment dealers (except you Waldo! The would be Edge-Equipment) someone would make a killing if they could combine great service and selection with great prices...

Botach is well-known for lousy service, but this usually occurs only when the item is out of stock. Always call them first to see if the item is available, and then place the order on the web site. This is especially true during a time like now when everything they have in stock is on sale. Of course, if you just place the order, you don't know if what you want is in stock or not. When the item is in stock, delivery is prompt and the prices are great.
I agree. I' ve made phone calls to check stock and to ask quite a few questions on certain products that I wasn' t too familiar with. Shalom, who I believe I' ve spoken with in the past was quite helpful by answering any and all of my questions.

Well, as anyone could see I've had variable experiences with Botach. My first order was an absolute disaster, the answers to my questions changed everytime I spoke to someone new. My second order which included 2 Streamlight Batonlights went off more smoothly but with one caveat. The caveat is that they provided me a tracking number but autodirected me to the wrong shipper (fedex instead of UPS). I'll probably deal with Botach again, they are getting better (as predicted).
