Hey guys,

So I've got two custom knives to put up for sale today. They're both great knives, but unfortunately I've overspent a bit lately and need to free up some funds. I've priced them a bit on the lower end, as I'm hoping for a quick sale. As a result, I’m mainly looking to sell, over trade at the moment...

I may be willing to consider partial trades + cash though, 100% cash will still have preference. Feel free to shoot me a message, if you have an offer though, can't hurt to ask right?

All prices include Shipping and Paypal G&S fees

Notes on Trades:
  • The one thing I would say I'm definitely not interested in is anything really overbuilt (Medfords, DSK, Hinderer etc....)
  • Some trades that would interest me, would be:
    • Please note these are just rough guidelines, obviously things can vary drastically based on the configuration
    • Below are some ideas, of what I would be interested in:
      • Partial
        • PM2 S110V
        • We Wasabi
        • Reate Jack (Non-damascus, CF)
        • Chris Reeve Umnumzaan (or Ti-lock)
      • Partial/Full (depends on config)
        • Koenig Mini Goblin
        • Koenig Arius (V2/lightened only, preference would be micarta or patterned Ti scales)
        • Sharp by Design/Nadeau Knives
        • Gareth Bull Shamwari
      • Full or Full+
        • Holt Specter
        • Pretty much anything by Robert Carter, specifically would love a NCC collab BBM
        • CMF metalworks: Daedalus, Crusade V2, Minis
        • Philipe Jourget Fif (any size)

Fernando Medina (Lionwerks) Hellcat

I received the knife in a trade, not too long ago, so I believe I’m the second owner of it. It’s a really nice knife, but it’s not quite the right style for me

The maker Fernando Medina, makes some really unique knives (of which, the hellcat is probably the most well known), that are definitely in high demand at the moment (I think he has 26k followers on instagram)! And his books are currently closed. He previously went under the name “Lionwerks”, before just switching to just his actual name

  • Specs/Features:
    • CTS-XHP blade, with Fernando’s unique/signature grind
      • the blade is around 0.18” thick at it’s thickest point
      • However, it gets significantly thinner towards the edge
      • This is due to a steep flat grind
      • It’s actually really quite thin behind the edge (I can attempt to measure it, if you would like)
    • The edge is the original from the maker and is razor sharp
    • Light bronze Ti frame (definitely designed to be a good working finish)
    • Bronze coloured hardware
    • Zirconium backspacer, with a rock pattern on the inside of it
    • Zirconium clip (satin finish)

  • Further details:
    • The knife has solid lockup and no blade play
    • The blade centring is perfect
    • It's more of a light switch deployment with the flipper, than a push button
    • Please take a look at the gallery for an action video
    • The only thing I would note, is that there was originally a slight click sound, when you disengaged the lockbar. This may be completely normal for a stouter framelock (I'm more used to very slim knives), as it didn't impede the blade closing at all. I put a small amount of graphite on the lock surface though and the click completely disappeared, so I don't know that it's really relevant anymore, just full disclosure. If it had remained, I'm sure I could have sent it to Fernando for adjustment.

  • Condition:
    • I have not used or carried the knife myself and I can’t really find evidence of use/carry by the previous owner
    • There do seem to be one or two small marks on the scales. However, as it is more of a working finish, they are quite hard to see and distinguish if it is actually a mark, or just part of the finish
    • The edge is in perfect condition and is razor sharp
    • Overall, I would say it's in pretty great condition!
    • I’ve made an extensive photo and video gallery though, so please take a look for yourself

Swanepoel Evolver 3.7 -
CF & Ti (Blue/Bronze) Scales w/ Wharncliffe Damasteel Blade (SOLD)

The maker, Pieter Swanepoel is a South African knifemaker, who makes some really unique, slim & sleek EDC knives.

I purchased the knife directly from Pieter himself and it was mailed to me from South Africa, so I am the first and only owner of the knife. I have not used or carried it, in the time I've owned it, just flipped it.

Specs:
  • Model: Evolver 3.7 No. 11
  • Blade/Cutting Edge Length: 3 5/8” or 3.625”
  • Blade Steel: Damasteel (Twist pattern)
  • Weight: 3.5 Oz/99 g
  • Handle thickness: 0.454"
  • Closed handle width: Less than 1"
  • Presentation Scale: Carbon Fiber
  • Lock Scale: Ti w/ Variable Dark Blue & Bronze anodization pattern
  • Ti spring clip that matches the anodization of the lock side
  • Runs on Teflon Washers, very smooth action
  • External stop pin (i.e. Not part of the blade, or running in a track/cutout in the blade. Held in place by the scales)
  • Ceramic ball bearing detent
  • A ceramic ball bearing is also used as the contact surface, between the blade and the lockbar
    • So even though it does not have a lockbar insert, the Ti lockbar, is not what is contacting the back of the blade. It is the second ceramic ball bearing mounted on the end of the lockbar.
    • (note: there are two separate ceramic balls, one for the detent and one for the lockup, it’s not a single ball for both)
  • Very solid lockup without blade play

2 - CqWaF9j.jpg

Description:
  • It’s a beautiful knife with some very unique features
  • It’s super slim, sleek and lightweight, making it an ideal EDC
  • I believe he only made around 15 or so of the carbon fibre models, so they are fairly limited in availability (The one I have is #11)
  • The blade is gorgeous
    • It’s got a very elegant and unique wharncliffe shape
    • Pieter has done a very nice high contrast etch on the damasteel, the dark parts of the etch look pure black, while the lighter sections have remained silver/grey.
  • The anodization work is also really unique
    • he’s managed to achieve a variable heat anodization pattern, that still looks subtle and understated
    • It’s made up entirely of dark bronze and dark blue
    • his sandblast gives it an ever so slight sparkle under bright lighting.
  • It’s got a great sound when it fires out as well and it generally closes quite softly
  • The action is very smooth and crazy considering it’s on washers and has yet to be properly broken in
    • It’s definitely a light-switch knife, not a push button
    • you do need to make sure that you put your finger on the top of the flipper (at an angle compared to the blade), not the side (parallel to the blade), even though both are gimped.
    • It flies out quickly and with authority when flipped
    • When you release the lockbar, the blade usually falls to somewhere between 90-45 degrees from closed and a gentle shake will do the rest

Thanks very much for taking a look! Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you are interested in potentially purchasing a knife!

That's good cause I was already trying to justify ways to swing it...which I should not be doing
Ah fair play, I definitely have been there and know the feeling haha

If you do want to check out his work later on, Instagram is probably the best way to do it (@swanepoeldesigns, just shoot him a message or something).

He did ship mine disassembled on request, so you could theoretically order directly from him (although it would be a bit more pricey), if you’re a fan of the style
