I also have the Giantmouse Ace Jutland special edition in Burlap Micarta available at the following link, it comes with the standard wire clip from Giantmouse (the timascus clip is sold), but the blade has been wonderfully reground by BGM Custom Knives (this cost $80 with shipping and the Skiffs were $20), it's .015"-.017" BTE and that is very nice and slicey for a very tough steel like Vanadis 4E. We have an excellent condition - never used - SBD Drop Point Flipper in Damasteel, comes with the box. I really wanted to love this knife, and even went to some lengths to modify it to suit my tastes and nothing changes the lines of the knife, I still just don't and won't love it despite its greatness, so I'm offering it up at less than half of retail.
The mods (I have lots of experience moding and I do them all correctly):
- I stonewashed the clip for a little lower profile look
- I stonewashed the handles for a little more striking look, and achieved it, and it's one of my favorite things about the knife now
- I had a local armory cerakote the inlays purple because I could not get ahold of a set of the KNP edition purple inlays, they are the perfect purple and slightly satin flat finish to contrast the handles, looks great
- I installed Skiff bearings, and holy smokes is the hype about these true, this blade glides shut on its own weight, the detent rocks, it launches out either with the flipper or the reverse flick and you'll love the action
- Not really a mod, but this knife escaped the factory missing an internal inlay screw, so the dealer was kind enough to foot the bill for a pack of those screws for me from McMaster. You get the rest of the pack of 30 or 50 screws, whatever it was
Blade is centered and locks up solid, has never cut anything or been sharpened. The knife rocks, it just needs to be with someone who will appreciate it and especially appreciate this deal which is less than half of retail for a cool, 1-off essentially brand new knife. $250 buys it shipped to your door via Paypal F&F, Venmo, or Zelle. $265 buys it PayPal Goods and Services. I don't mind that option, but I do also have nearly 300 positive feedbacks from deals on here so just wanted to be flexible for ya.
