These are two of my favorite folders, but I am letting them go to make room for others. Tony's knives don't come up for sale that often...especially these pattern.
1) This stag shadow Wharncliffe Trapper pattern is very rare .I have seen only a couple made as a shadow without bolsters.
Scales - Incredible stag. I talked to Tony about it at Blade this year and he said this stag was not used on may knives.
Closed Length - 3.5 inches
Steel - ATS-34
Condition - preowned in 99.9999% condition. The .01% being that it is not new from the maker and there are miniscule, handling marks on the springs/bolsters from being put/removed from display shelf, shipped/mailed, etc (you can see these in the pictures). If the knife was unused from maker, I would characterize it as 100%, except for the proud springs mentioned below. Regardless, I doubt you will find a stag WT from Tony for this price except from Tony directly (too bad he's not taking orders anymore).
Pull - about a 6 out of 10
Other - Oval shield, fit and finish are awesome except when each blade is in the 1/2 stop position, the spring sits a bit proud of the liner (see pic). But it is perfectly flush in open and closed position.
Asking Price - SPF.
2) This is a stag Saddlehorn Trapper. Everything about this knife is amazing...perfect fit and finish, amazing walk and talk....flawless. Saddlehorns by Tony rarely come up for sale, and the fact that this is a smaller, rarer 3.5 inch version makes it even more special (most are 4.5" plus).
